Hi! My name is Riley Brown, and I’m the Press Lead of the Green Schools Campaign. I first learned about the Climate Reality Youth Committee through my science teacher. I’ve always cared about the environment and my family is good about recycling and not wasting water, but it had never really been a big passion of mine. However, I decided to join the committee because it looked fun and seemed like a good way to help the planet.
I went to my first meeting, and I immediately knew I wanted to be a part of this team. Everyone was so kind, friendly, and helpful. They had just finished the Green Schools Campaign Handbook, and I really wanted to be a part of the GSC team. I started working with them and having so much fun, and after a couple months, I became the Press Lead!
I have loved my time on the team - talking to the group during meetings, filming our launch video, being interviewed on an Instagram Live, and more. It’s a great way to save our planet, protect our futures, and feel good about making a difference! I highly suggest contacting me or Simon Aron and getting involved with the Green Schools Campaign.
