Digital Media Coordinator
Emma Huynh (she/her) is a freshman studying environmental science engineering at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Starting in 7th grade she has been involved with multiple organizations to combat plastic pollution and the current climate crisis including the Algalita Marine Research Youthboard program and the Long Beach Office of Sustainability Youth Climate Ambassadors. She began her work with the Green Schools campaign within the Long Beach chapter in 2021, she worked as part of the core team that wrote and passed board policy 3510.1 in the Long Beach Unified School District. She hopes to work locally and internationally to create greener, cleaner, and more sustainable areas to inhabit for the generations to come. In addition to her work in climate justice, Emma is passionate and proactive about media diversity and the appreciation of Asian American culture. When she’s not working you can find her with her nose stuck in a book, going with friends for a boba/matcha run, or just relaxing at the beach with snacks from Trader Joe’s !
